“Let there be light! That’s how the story began.” – Andrei Malakhov.

Russia's most famous TV host Andrei Malakhov came to CENTRSVET to purchase lighting for the project in his hometown, Apatity. Andrei created Siyanie Center of Modern Art in Apatity, and gifted his private collection of paintings to the Center. But the town did not have a place where tourists could stop by and see the artwork. This is how he had the idea of renovating and remodeling Izovela Soviet health resort and placing the artwork there.

Andrei Malakhov was flipping through designer magazines and saw CENTRSVET that corresponded with his aesthetic taste and values. A longtime friend of his Ksenia Sobchak also recommended our Company to him.

We prepared the lighting project in the minimum time, coordinated it with the design and architecture teams and sent it to Apatity. Now INFINITY lighting system and LOCUS FRAME luminaires are installed at the health resort to highlight the paintings. Modern lighting harmoniously blends in with vintage Arktika luminaires from the 80s that used to hang in a building on Petrovka street in Moscow.

There will be serious artwork in each room on the top floor of Izovela. People will say: “I slept with Warhol, Keith Haring, Peter Doig”. According Andrei Malakhov, his dream is for many people to come to his hometown to admire interesting exhibitions and bring back the love for the North.
